We live in a world so consumed with the outward appearance. Girls and women compare themselves with the magazines and Hollywood. The magazines are not real they are fantasy so stop comparing yourself with them. God made each of us different and different is good! You are beautiful and beauty is so much more than the outward!
I want my daughter to know this and be happy with who she is. My daughter is always telling me how pretty and beautiful I am. I have to be very careful not to say “oh honey mommy’s not that pretty” or “Mommy’s hair did not turn out very good today”. When she compliments me I accept it and say “Thank you, sweetie, you make mommy feel good. You are beautiful and I love you.” If I tell her I am not pretty like she thinks I am or my shirt is not as beautiful as she thinks it is I will make her begin to look at herself in a negative way. I want her to be happy with herself and I want her to see a confident mom. That is not always easy because I do not always feel that way but I should feel that way because God created me just how He wanted me!
God created you just how He wanted you too! You are beautiful and special!
